Tetris is a free browser version of the legendary block-stacking puzzle game. Seven different shaped pieces fall from the top of the board and you must rotate and position them to complete full horizontal lines. Cleared lines earn points and the game speeds up as you level up.
The game features ghost piece preview showing where your piece will land, next piece display, wall kick rotation, hard drop, mobile controls, and a scoring system that rewards clearing multiple lines at once. Every 10 lines cleared increases your level and drop speed.
Use arrow keys or WASD to move and rotate the falling pieces. Press Space to hard-drop a piece instantly. Clear full horizontal lines to score points.
Clearing one line scores 100 points, two lines 300, three lines 500 and four lines (a Tetris) scores 800 points. Points are multiplied by your current level.
The transparent outline at the bottom of the board shows where your current piece will land if you drop it straight down. Use it to plan your placement.
Yes! Every 10 lines cleared increases your level, and each level makes pieces fall faster. The game starts slow but becomes very challenging at higher levels.
